EastWest Ceramics features ceramic artwork by Eli Charne and Yishuang Zhang
Eli Charne was born in San Diego, California. He has a Master’s degree in Computer Science from UC Irvine. He has been interested in ceramics since watching his uncle and grandmother creating ceramic art when he was child in San Diego. Eli has been pursuing his interest in ceramics more formally since 2007 when he started taking lessons at the Irvine Fine Arts Center, and is currently pursuing an art degree with a specialty in ceramics.
Yishuang Zhang was born in Harbin, China. She developed a passion for artwork at an early age, but had to put aside her love for doing art to pursue a degree in Science & Engineering at the Harbin Institute of Technology. She now lives in California, and is pursuing her passion for developing and making art through her love of ceramics and Chinese painting and calligraphy. You may know her from her Chinese Language learning channel Harbin Mandarin on YouTube. Yishuang is now studying for her art degree in Southern California.
